"And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair." -Kahlil Gibran
In my experience art & nature are like prayer (personal, intimate) and beauty is medicine! I hope my photography stirs something inside you, to feel more connected with everything around and within you. My intention is to bring more beauty and clarity to each moment through everything I do.
I re-discovered my love of photography on a trip to New Zealand in 2008 with my husband Paul. We love to travel and experience the richness of other cultures and landscapes! And we’re always exploring nooks and crannies near our home too! Many of my favorite photos are from our own backyard...Carmel, Big Sur, Monterey Bay & Santa Cruz in the Central Coast of California.
I photograph intuitively and organically, continuing to learn everyday. My name means "Maiden of the Woods" and I've always felt connected to Nature. I love capturing the Spirit of a place, often using close angles and light to bring a magical, unique perspective. I’m a huge advocate of sharing our creative pursuits and exploring our inner artist no matter what our “day job” might be. I have a BA in Ayurveda (Holistic) Medicine and an MA in Spiritual Psychology. And I love embracing both right and left brain activities!
I'm self-employed, part time with photography and part time helping conscious business owners manage their client care, team and systems so they can focus on what they love! I love this flexibility in my schedule, allowing me to create my own routine and rhythm. It allows space for my creativity, volunteer work, home projects, travels near and far.

I live in Corralitos, CA near Santa Cruz on the Central Coast with my husband Paul Henrichsen (helicopter pilot, surfer, 4th generation local) and our 2 furry felines, Fitz & Bindi.
I share my art in gallery shows in different formats like metal, canvas, framed glass, wood & silk. I'm tickled to have my products in retail & gift shops locally (mats, greeting cards, mouse pads, magnets, mini-frames, mugs & more...)
Thank you Santa Cruz for voting me Best Photographer 3 years in a row
Around me, the trees stir in their leaves and call out, 'stay awhile'.
The light flows from their branches.
And they call again, 'it's simple', they say,
and you too have come
into the world to do this, to go easy,
to be filled with light, and to shine
